Proficy Historian 4.0

Proficy Historian is a powerful tool for archiving of process data and alarms. Version 4.0 has further increased performance and simplified maintenance.

Historian 4.0 has undergone a fundamental rewrite behind the shell. Thanks to this rewriting you it is now possible to run the server on 64-bit operating system and then benefit from the increased amount of memory you can address. This gives both increased performance and the opportunity to build larger systems. Some of the other innovations of this new version are:
• Improved maintenance through alternative backup handling (VSS) and several new features for administration
• The ability to rename tags, and at the same time maintaining all the data
• Support for the latest Microsoft platforms such as Windows 7, Server 2008 R2 and IE8
• For customers with iFIX 5.1 SP1 it is possible to do playbacks of historical data (retrieved from Proficy Historian) in process images. The function is similar to a VCR with the possibility to play, pause and look at different time span.
