OPC (OLE for Process Control) ist der industrielle Kommunikationsstandard, welcher 1995 von einer Reihe grosser Anbieter in der industriellen Automatisierung mit dem Ziel entwickelt wurde, die Interoperabilit\u00e4t zwischen ihren Systemen zu f\u00f6rdern. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

Sie basierten dabei auf dem damals beliebten COM\/DCOM-Protokoll von Microsoft. In den Folgejahren entwickelte sich der Standard zu dem am weitesten verbreiteten Weg, um zwischen verschiedenen Automatisierungssystemen zu kommunizieren. Die Technik wurde im Laufe der Jahre vom Echtzeit-Datenzugriff (DA)<\/strong> \u00fcber Alarms & Events (AE)<\/strong> zum Historical Data Access (HDA)<\/strong> weiterentwickelt. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Letztendlich entschied man sich, diese drei Standards in einem neuen \u00fcbergreifenden und modellbasierten Standard zu vereinen, der nicht mehr auf COM\/DCOM angewiesen ist: OPC UA<\/strong>: Unified Architecture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Client\/Server Technologie<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

OPC basiert auf einer Client\/Server Architektur, d. h. es gibt einen oder mehrere Server, die auf Datenanforderungen von einem oder mehreren Clients warten. Sobald der Server eine Anfrage erh\u00e4lt, antwortet er darauf und geht dann zur\u00fcck in die Warteschleife. Der Client kann den Server aber auch anweisen, Updates automatisch zu senden, wenn sie beim Server ankommen. Bei OPC entscheidet der Client, wann und welche Daten der Server von den darunterliegenden Systemen abholt. Dies gilt auch, wenn der Client Updates abonniert, bei denen der Client entscheidet, wie oft der Server diese Systeme \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen soll.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Classic OPC und OPC Unified Architecture (UA)<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Wir unterscheiden heute zwischen zwei verschiedenen OPC-Standards. Die klassischen Standards heissen OPC DA (Data Access), OPC A&E (Alarm & Events) und OPC HDA (Historical Data Access). Diese Standards basieren auf COM\/DCOM und sind somit auf Windows-Betriebssysteme beschr\u00e4nkt. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

Der heutige und aktuelle industrielle Kommunikationsstandard ist OPC UA (Unified Architecture). OPC UA ist plattformunabh\u00e4ngig und somit nicht mehr an Windows Systeme gebunden. Damit hat sich auch die Bedeutung von OPC gewandelt – die Abk\u00fcrzung «OLE for Process Control» \u00e4nderte zu «Open Platform Communication<\/strong>«. OPC UA basiert auf einer Multipart-Spezifikation, welche aus vielen verschiedenen Sektionen wie z. B. Data Access (DA), Alarms and Conditions (A&C) und Historical Access (HA) besteht. Ein weiterer sehr wichtiger Teil von UA \u200b\u200bist die F\u00e4higkeit, Datenstrukturen oder Modelle zu verwenden. Das bedeutet, dass die Daten-Tags oder -Punkte gruppiert und in einen Kontext gestellt werden k\u00f6nnen, der die Verwaltung und Wartung erheblich vereinfacht. Diese Modelle k\u00f6nnen zur Laufzeit angefordert werden, was einem Client die M\u00f6glichkeit gibt, die verf\u00fcgbaren Datenstrukturen vom Server anzufordern.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

OPC ist heute die am weitesten verbreitete Form der industriellen Kommunikation. Die nahtlose Kommunikation zwischen Maschinen, Anlagen und Systemen bildet die Grundlage f\u00fcr Industrie 4.0 und digitale Transformation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Die meisten Anlagen und Maschinen bestehen aus neuen und alten Steuerungen von verschiedenen Lieferanten, die alle unterschiedliche Funktionalit\u00e4ts- und Kommunikationsanforderungen haben. In einigen F\u00e4llen sind die neuen Maschinen auf Technologien angewiesen, die es beim Bau der \u00e4ltesten Maschinen noch nicht gab. Dar\u00fcber hinaus versuchen \u00e4ltere Ger\u00e4te teilweise die direkte Integration aus Sicherheitsgr\u00fcnden zu verhindern. Die Integration von Daten aus Maschinen und Anlagen unterschiedlicher Generationen ist daher eine anspruchsvolle Aufgabe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
