Help Manufacturers Create and Sustain A Competitive Advantage

Productivity challenges continue to confront manufacturers in the UK and Ireland. For many, better planning and coordination of production activities can have a huge impact on both their costs and sales potential. Adopting better tools for production scheduling can be challenging without expert guidance on managing the adoption of new tools and new practices - and that's where you come in!

Rob-Ex, our finite scheduling solution (click here for more info), has been deployed in hundreds of sites worldwide, helping manufacturers recover capacity, increase customer satisfaction and add to the bottom line. We're looking to add a specialist to our team who can provide a consultative sales capability that will help current customers and new ones alike understand how to apply Rob-Ex to their operations. Being successful in this role will require familiarity with manufacturing operations, and with the way shop floor and enterprise systems are deployed around them. We will be most interested in candidates who have held planning or scheduling responsibilities, or those who have sold IT products or services in these areas.

Your Goals & Responsibilities

  • Develop opportunities for scheduling software license sales and associated consulting revenue
  • Deliver consultative services to manufacturers to define and support their finite scheduling deployments
  • Provide support and consultative services to systems integration partners that work with Novotek and Rob-Ex
  • Help Novotek sales colleagues identify and qualify scheduling opportunities in their customer and prospect base

What We Offer

  • Flexibility - this role will work across our entire territory, so the successful candidate may be home-based if not located near one of our offices
  • A place in a team that works together to create shared opportunities and shared success
  • Competitive salary and incentive scheme
  • Ongoing professional development, including opportunities to develop new technology skills and domain expertise
  • Ongoing personal development opportunities, and support in building a profile as a thought leader in the manufacturing systems domain

  • One of:
    • At least 3 - 5 years' experience in planning or scheduling operations (or in closely related functions such as manufacturing operations management or supply chain management)
    • At least 5-7 years sales or consulting experience focused on planning, scheduling or manufacturing operations management solutions
  • Expertise in mapping production and process flows, and relating them to the systems delivering functionality to manage Bills of Material, Routes, Operational Definitions and performance standards
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and/or delivering projects, or managing change within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills - an ability to teach new ideas and new ways of working
  • An understanding of common integration mappings between PLM, ERP/Planning, Scheduling and MES systems is ideal
